Trucks, inspections and maintenance

Your fleet, daily walk-arounds, defects that park a truck, service due by miles or date.

Trucks

Add each truck under Trucks: name, plate, class (wheel-lift, flatbed, integrated, heavy, rotator), the largest vehicle it can take, odometer, registration and insurance expiry. A truck's class decides which jobs you're quoted — a customer with an EV only sees companies with a flatbed available. Add a photo and customers see "look for this truck" on tracking.

Daily inspections

Drivers do a pre-trip walk-around from their phone before the first job: lights, tires, brakes, hydraulics, chains and straps, leaks, mirrors, a photo if something's off. A critical defect — brakes, steering, a bad hook — parks the truck (status out of service) until someone clears it. The dispatch board shows when no inspection has been logged today.

Post-trip notes work the same way at the end of a shift.

Maintenance

Log service under each truck — oil, tires, hydraulics, DOT inspection — with the miles or date the next one is due. Trucks coming due show on the owner's attention strip on the dispatch board; the Fleet export gives you the full history.
